Why use HACCP food labels?

HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, a preventative food safety system that takes stock of the hazards in food. The control process has been set up by the European Union and wants to make sure that the production of food entails as little hazards as possible for consumers.

If you run a food business, you must have a plan based on the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles. The HACCP plan keeps your food safe from biological, chemical and physical food safety hazards. To make a plan you must: identify any hazards that must be avoided, removed or reduced.

If you use a food labeling system as part of your HACCP Plan, this will enable you to show the Health Inspector that your kitchen is safe. When used correctly food labeling can ensure that the food is in date, fresh, there is no cross contamination, and that allergens are correctly identified. Controlled management can also reduce food waste.

We have a number of adhesive options that meet the diverse nature of the kitchen environment. We have a removable label that can be peeled off, a dissolvable label that will disappear without residue once the food container is washed. We also have a permanent or freezer safe adhesive so that you can be sure the label will still be there after a number of months in a freezer.
